Ms. Shirley Boxley Jones of South Boston, VA died on Monday, September 20th at the age of 86.

Ms. Jones was born in Halifax County on January 13, 1936 to the late Willie Boxley and Daisy Smith Boxley and was formerly married to William Jones. She was a member of First Baptist Church.

Ms. Jones is survived by (2) daughters: Lisa Scott (Cornell) of Nathalie, VA, and Deborah Murphy (Stanley) of South Boston, VA; (2) sons: Mr. Calvin Boxley (Jennie) of South Boston, VA and Dwight Boxley of Crystal Hill , VA; (7) grandchildren; (9) great grandchildren; (1) sister: Yvonne Boxley; longtime friend: Agatha Chambers; and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by (2) daughters: Linda Boxley and Wilhemina Boxley.

Graveside services for Ms. Shirley Boxley Jones will be Friday, September 24th at noon at Rose Garden Cemetery with Bishop John Williams, eulogist.

Public viewing for family and friends will be Thursday from noon until 6:00 p.m. Following COVID-19 guidelines a face mask and social distancing will be required.
