Mrs. Sylvia Yvonne Oliver Williams of Kernersville, NC and formerly of Halifax County, VA died Thursday, February 9th at the age of 81.

Mrs. Williams was born on July 8, 1941 in Halifax County, VA to the late John Oscar Oliver and Lottie Mary Wade Oliver. She was married to John Lee Williams and was a member of Dan River Bethel Baptist Church.

Mrs. Williams is survived by her husband: John Lee Williams of the home; (1) sister: Mabel Swann of Alton, VA; (1) sister-in-law: Nancy Wilson of Dover, DE; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Sylvia was preceded in death by (1) son: John Troy Williams; and (2) sisters: Willie Joylette Oliver and Roselyn Edwards.

Funeral services for Mrs. Sylvia Yvonne Oliver Williams will be held Monday, February 13th at 12:00 p.m. with services at Jeffress Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dwight Wilkerson officiating. Burial will follow in Dan River Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery, South Boston, VA.

Public viewing will be at Jeffress Funeral Home on Sunday from 12:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
