Mr. Vaulter VanZango Wood of South Boston, VA died on Sunday, March 5th at the age of 70.

Mr. Wood was born in Halifax County on June 19, 1952 to the late Luther I Wood and Ophelia T. Wood. He was a member of First Baptist Church in South Boston, VA and served faithfully as a musician until his health began to fail. Van was one of the greatest professional guitarists that ever lived and will be truly missed.

Mr. Wood is survived by his wife, Linda Wood; (3) brothers: Trae, Luther Lee and Lemuel; (1) sister: Benita (Delwin) and a host of other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
