Mrs. Vernisa Chavious Morgan of South Boston, VA died Friday, October 22nd at Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC at the age of 73.

Mrs. Morgan was born on July 28, 1948 to the late Floyd Chavious, Jr. and  Leona Wade Chavious. She was married to Richard Morgan and was a member of Dan River Bethel Baptist Church.

Mrs. Morgan is survived by her husband: Richard Morgan of the home; (1) daughter: Cassandra M. Edmunds of South Boston, VA; (1) son: Tony Morgan (Kirstie) of South Boston, VA; (2) grandchildren: Tymisha Morgan and Jade Edmunds, both of South Boston, VA; (1) sister: Theresa Chavious of Charlotte, NC; (1) brother: Joseph M. Chavious of Charlotte, NC; (2) sisters-in-law; (2) brothers-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Graveside services for Mrs. Vernisa Chavious Morgan will be held Wednesday, October 27th at 12:00 p.m. with services at Dan River Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Dwight Wilkerson as eulogist.

Public viewing will be at Jeffress Funeral Home on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Following COVID -19 guidelines a face mask and social distancing will be required.

The family will receive friends at the home of Cassandra Edmunds, 4000 Cherry Hill Church Rd, South Boston, VA.
