Mr. Walter Martin Greene of Clover, VA died Thursday, May 20th at Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital at the age of 71.

Mr. Greene was born on August 25, 1949 in Maryland to the late Mr. Sulie Greene and Mrs. Mamie Williams Greene. He was married to Mrs. Mary Lacks Greene and was a United States Navy Veteran.

Mr. Greene is survived by his wife: Mary Lacks Greene of the home; (3) daughters: Tina Samuels (Raymond Mundle) of New York, Rameda Moody of Chesapeake, VA and Jamiyah Brown of Clover, VA; (3) sons: Nicholas Allen Greene of Los Angeles, CA, Alex Greene of MD and Joshua Greene of Chicago, IL; (2) grandchildren: Mason and Brennan; (1) sister: Zelda Greene of Los Angeles, CA; (2) brothers: James “Jimmy” Greene (Angel) of Charlotte, NC and Stanley Greene of MD; (2) sisters-in-law: Irene Lacks of Clover, VA and Emily Ferguson of New Haven, CT; (2) brothers-in-law: Luther Lacks of Brooklyn, NY and Dennis Ferguson of New Haven, CT; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Walter Martin Greene will be Wednesday, May 26th at noon at Jeffress Funeral Home Chapel in South Boston, VA with Rev. Morris Mitchell officiating. Following COVID -19 guidelines, a face mask and social distancing will be required.

Public viewing will be at Jeffress Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday from Noon until 6:00 p.m.
