Mrs. Willie Mae Crowder Chrisp Tucker of Durham, NC and formerly of Halifax County, VA died Wednesday, August 18th at the age of 94.

Mrs. Tucker was born in Washington, DC on November 11, 1926 to the late William B. Crowder and Inez Evans Crowder. She was married to the late Emmett Tucker.

Mrs. Tucker is survived by (2) daughters: Jean Blackwell (James, Sr.) and Annette Reynolds, all of Durham, NC; (1) son: Elton M. Chrisp (Suk) of Harlem, GA; (12) grandchildren; (21) great-grandchildren; (8) great great-grandchildren; (5) sisters-in-law; (2) brothers-in-law; and a host of other relatives and friends, including close family friend and caregiver, Jennifer Jenkins. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by (2) sons: Lorenzo Chrisp and Lewis Chrisp.

Funeral services for Mrs. Willie Mae Crowder Chrisp Tucker will be held Monday, August 23rd at 1: 00 p.m. with services at Jeffress Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Richard Terry officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery.

Public viewing will be one hour prior to the service.
