Mrs. Zelda Mace Davis of Brooklyn Rd, Sutherlin, VA died Wednesday, April 27th at Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital at the age of 59.

Mrs. Davis was born on August 1, 1962 in Halifax County, VA to Mrs. Berta Marable Oliver and the late Mr. Clinton Oliver. She was married to Mr. Lawrence Davis and was a member of New Arbor Baptist Church.

Mrs. Davis is survived by her husband: Lawrence Davis of the home; (1) daughter: Fannie Palmer Ford of South Boston, VA; (1) son: Lamont Palmer of Waynesboro, PA; (1) step-daughter: Tamika Gunter of Burlington, NC; (1) step-son: Demond Gunter of Danville, VA; (10) grandchildren; (5) great grandchildren; (7) step-grandchildren; (4) step-great grandchildren; her mother: Berta M. Oliver of Vernon Hill, VA; (4) sisters: Karen Acree (Joe), Susan Robertson (Victor), Lillie Brooks (Nathan) and Rhonda Williams (Dean); (1) brother: Clinton Oliver; mother-in-law: Lois Davis; (5) sisters-in-law; (2) brothers-in-law; (4) aunts; (2) uncles; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her father, Zelda was preceded in death by (1) son: Danny Palmer; (1) step-daughter: Tiffany Gunter; (2) brothers: Michael Oliver and Calvin Oliver; and father-in-law: Sammy Davis.

Funeral services for Mrs. Zelda Mace Davis will be held Wednesday, May 4th at 1:00 p.m. with services at New Arbor Baptist Church, South Boston, VA with Rev. Nelson Stamps officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Public viewing for family and friends will be at Jeffress Funeral Home on Tuesday from noon until 6:00 p.m.
